Ideas - Music Video

First Idea

Location - London - busy streets,

Our first idea was to have lots of different people lipsyncing to the song wearing headphones in order to connote a community based narrative.
Intertextual references : Samim - Heater

Artist shown as street singer - camera tilted up - clearly important, dominant, stand out in the crowd, audiences we recieve this first person mode of address.

Close Up's - convey emotions

Urban noises integrated with track

Different people sing different lines of the song

Shots of different aspects of urban life - shop shots, take aways, train stations, buses

Overcranking used to reinforce authenticity of artists

Final Idea

Location - London

Performance based

Initial shot - streets of london - digetic noises - buses, cars, trains, taxis, talking, mobile phones

Time of day - daytime

Jump shots - cut from one street to another

Overshoulder shots, enables POV shot from someone else, filming in a cafe e.g. starbucks - sitting on sofa - reinfocres that chilled out - positive reflective song

360 degress pans - close up's - convey emotions, focus on lead singer

Cut to other people singing the song- putting headphones on

Special Techniques - pushing camera up/bringing it back down to carry on filming

End of video we will use a dissolve edit with switches from day to night

Ideas ongoing...................................

Undercranking will be used to speed up the images of moving vehicles and people around the city of london at the beginning of the video, and the same will be done at the end of the video...gives a sense that music can make people take a moment from their busy lifestyles and be united by something, and also suggest that when that something is removed from society, they will return to their busy lifestyles.

Panning 360 shot could also be used circling around the artist but changing location as the camera moves around him.
